Roberto's Health as of October 28, 2010
Dear friends,
I hope this message finds you well. I know that many of you have been
wondering and asking about how I am doing.
I can't say enough how much I appreciate your ongoing concern for me. Your
support has been a very important source of strength for me.
I wish I had better news for you. As you may know, a few weeks ago my pain
began to worsen and, following a CT-scan, I was told that the cancer was
back. I began chemotherapy but unfortunately, the effects have been very
bad. Besides the often common side effects of nausea and fatigue, I have
been very ill, my liver has been adversely affected and the pain has not
improved. As a result, the chemo has been halted and I am not sure if in
fact I will continue with it at all.
I will appreciate to visit EIA's website for the EIA's community dinner

Since stopping the chemo I have felt better, but of course, I am very
concerned about the long term outcome. That being said, I have every
intention to be at the Nov. 6 Community Dinner. It is so important to be
with all of you who have contributed so much to building Education in
Action and furthering the work of Café Justicia.
For now, all I can do is take one day at a time. I am spending my time
writing and of course being with my family and friends.
Thank you again for all your prayers and messages of support.
See you on November 6.
Roberto.
